Dolphins in a water park have suddenly started blowing bubble rings through their blowholes. How can air be blown in a 'circular' way? Why do these rings hold together instead of spreading to the surface? Are other dolphins on the planet suddenly going to catch that skill too?

This is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. Dolphins making bubble rings with their blowholes …

Even more incredible, those bubbles do not rise to the surface, like any honest bubble would do, but stick together and can be reshaped?? Watch and prepare to be amazed.

Remember the ’100 monkey’ theory, where monkeys on other islands suddenly learned all at the same time how to clean potatoes using sea water after the number of monkeys doing it in one particular island reached a certain threshold ?

Is it going to be the same with dolphins? Are we going to see a ’100 dolphin’ theory too? Has it already started?

This shows that there is so much we don’t understand yet. How is it possible to blow air in a ‘circular’ way? Why do these bubbles hold together instead of spreading to the surface ? Is something as simple as the Archimedes principle not so true after all ?

These rings ‘stick’ so much together, that dolphins can reshape and play with them, even when the ring is half gone!

I am not sure if the laws of physics can explain this since they are still struggling to explain how water can retain information (homeopathy) for instance.

If you know anything about that, any research, let me know.

This post compares the advantages of following the traditional education path, ie spending tons of money and time to go through college and university, instead of simply skipping it all, and learn what you really need to THRIVE.

The world has changed, THERE IS A BETTER WAY now. It starts with ‘thinking’.

I am not saying that you must skip being educated, but the way you get it because, today, education, like everything in this society is setup to dumb people down and create unthinking puppets, working their heart out for unforgiving and ruthless companies that destroy the world and the environment.

Education will turn you into an egotistical person, believing that you ‘know it all’, when all you end up with is a very custom-tailored knowledge and thinking process that will serve your employers only.

Today, technology allows anyone to educate himself in state-of-the-art technology, and start new types of businesses that have all the advantages of traditional jobs, without the usual problems. So, why do people put themself into debt for education ? Well, it’s only mental conditioning by those who want slave workers. Read on.

Please take the time to read this, even if you already have an education, because it is a belief system problem. The need to ‘have a jooooob’ has been so deeply etched into people’s minds that they are just hypnotized into looking for a job, and a job ONLY, even when there is no job around, instead of looking at other business MODELS. The subject is complex and could take a whole book, so I am going to limit this post to the financial aspect, which is what every people are most sensitive about anyway.

Which education you really need, and which type of activity you want to do must probably be completely rethought from the ground up.

Let me give a few examples and I’ll give you Karl Denninger’s excellent post.

You could get top notch education by reading books, MIT free online courses and you could even get a type of education that is NEVER taught in school, ie how to control your own mind, your own thoughts (personal development) to know yourself better and stop being angry, judgmental, frustrated or aggressive. There is a reason they don’t teach that. It’s because it is total freedom of mind, a capacity to see through the lies. It would lead to less control from the government, less money for big pharma useless ‘treatments’, less money wasted on useless products.

Classical ‘education’ won’t teach you that MultiLevelMarketing is the model of the future because it distributes the profits among those who DO THE WORK, not those deep pocketed investors who buy stocks and wait for YOU to do the hard work to rack in the profits. They won’t tell you that you do not even need a ‘company’ anymore. Today, with the internet you can outsource everything: drop-shipping; customer service; virtual assistants. Read ‘The 4-hour workweek’ from Tom Ferris, it is your ticket to absolute freedom, of mind, financial, and of time.

If you take the right approach, you can become an expert online marketer and have a successful and resilient online business before others are still sweating for their exams.

Worse, if you are an engineer, graphic artist, etc, they won’t tell you that you will compete with people in Asia working just as well as you for $200 per month. Why do they work for so little ? Because they don’t have to pay for an out-of-control government or outrageous drug prices. It is up to you to decide, but at least, DECIDE with all the facts in hand.

The case for and against college

The Market Ticker

July 13, 2010

An article in the Chronicle of Higher Education that was forwarded to me (and which requires a subscription, so I won’t link it) prompted me to finally complete this Ticker, which I’ve been working on for a while.

The question that is facing a bunch of 18- and 19-year olds right now, and will be facing 17- and 18-year olds coming into their Senior Year, is, quite simply:Where do I go to college?

Let’s back up and change the question, because frankly, put as stated up above, the answer might be “nowhere!”

Let’s first run some numbers so as to put in perspective exactly what the choice to go on to a post-secondary education costs you.

And yes, it does.

I’m going to make a few assumptions here:

You have a brain.

You will use it, which means that you will not, in the general case, live beyond your means as a young adult. Specifically, we will assume that you will save (not spend) a full 10% of your income (and before you argue “that’s impossible!” it’s a hell of a lot easier when you have no dependents and are unmarried than at any other time in your life! Trust me on that – giving up your Friday night beer binge is much easier than your baby’s formula!)

Now let’s further make an assumption that you can make $10/hour in a job out of high school. That’s not much. If you work 2,000 hours in a year (that’s 50 weeks of 40 hours each) you will make $20,000 gross. Save 10% of that, it’s $2,000.

Ok. Here’s the basics. We will assume you use five years to complete college. Most kids do – and colleges do their level damndest to make it happen. Yeah, I know, it’s a four-year program. Watch how classes you need as pre-requisites magically are unavailable at a key point – just once – to guarantee that fifth year. It happens far too often to be a “mere” coincidence. We’re going to go further and presume you will not take debt, which means you’re going to actually do something productive during your college years to pay your way, which makes the “compressed” programs (e.g. 3 year) that are pretty much impossible.

Ok. You start at 18 and “retire” at 65. This is 47 years.

If you go to school you have 42 years to accumulate the surplus.

What do the five years cost you?

That depends on the compound growth rate. We’re going to be extremely conservative and assume only 30-year Treasuries are invested in, and further, that they earn only 4.5%. This is a bit above today’s coupon, but is much below anything considered as “reasonable history.” That is, we’re being damn conservative in our assumptions – no “8% return” nonsense as is often touted by pension fund managers or worse, 10-11% “quoted” by stock promoters.

If we save $2,000 a year at 4.5% interest for 47 years we will wind up with $307,345.27. If we do so for 42 years we wind up with $237,849.58.

This means that in future values that five years costs you about $70,000 down the road. Note that this does not account for inflation (and it’s impact on your purchasing power) nor does it matter if your savings rate changes after the first five years – that is, the $70,000 is real opportunity cost in retirement savings.

(BTW, if you’re interested, at 8% the differential is nearly three hundred thousand dollars, which illustrates one of the key points in the game here – being wrong on the “presumed return” can hurt you terribly.)

Now, you say, but you will earn more with a college degree. This is likely true – but to a large degree it depends on exactly what field you decide to go into.

A degree is not necessarily a license to print money. Indeed, if your degree is in a “soft” field it may have a negative real value compared to a trade, in that the time you take off from working can never be replaced. Consider the journeyman in a skilled trade, who uses the five years to acquire a skill and is thus a skilled craftsman at whatever – whether it be electrical wiring or plumbing or some other vocation. Never mind the fact that it’s damn hard to “offshore” installing or repair wiring in a building; the same cannot be said for programming a computer!

Therefore, my guideline for Seniors and those endeavoring to matriculate this fall is as follows:

If your field of study is in a “soft” science: Literature, arts, journalism, political science or similar then you can only justify your education if it can be completed in full without taking on one dollar of debt. That is, if you can self-finance it through employment, scholarship, gifts or savings. If not you are almost certainly wasting your money.

If your field of study is one where a degree is allegedly required, you may be wasting your money. “Allegedly” required areas are things such as computer programming and similar endeavors. The claim (oft-repeated in ads in the paper) that one cannot get a job in these fields without a college degree is false. I stand as personal testament to this. What is true is that if you suck, you won’t be employed without a degree, but if you suck you shouldn’t be employed anyway, and degree or no degree, you won’t be employed for long.

If your field is one where the work can be offshored you will be competing with the wages of people in India but they will not have paid the price you did for your “education.” Think about that one long and hard. Plenty of computer engineers and similar supposed professionals have discovered this the hard way. The rah-rah rage of the 90s where you could get a computer science degree and land a $100,000+ job have given way to employers sending those jobs to India – for only $25,000/year. Guess what wage they offer you? Yep. Again, if you really enjoy the work that’s fine, but not if you have to take debt to complete your education.

If your field is capacity-controlled and, after careful study you are not concerned about a glut that could trash prices or government intervention (same), then and only then does the “chase the degree for high dollars” game make sense. Good luck with that premise – but these are the only fields where taking any debt works. Lots of kids have tried this in the medical fields, for example, only to run smack-dab into Obama. Ditto in the legal fields. There are surprisingly few Cochrans who have ever lived (the famous one who defended OJ is of course dead) and a hell of a lot of lawyers who wind up pushing paper for mid-five-figures in some company. How’s $200,000 worth of debt going to work for you if you go down that road and wind up in that dead end? You might want a pistol – for your mouth. Don’t go there – avoid the pitfall rather than figuring it out after you make the mistake.

Be very, very aware that in a number of fields – especially things such as computer science or computer engineering – the college you are looking at may have horrific conflicts of interest. Specifically, a number of universities are effectively captive “employee mills” for certain employers in their region and state. Their programs are tailor-made for that particular employer or group of employers and what they want as graduates, effectively becoming their captive training enterprises. This is great if you want to work for “Company X.” It sucks severely if you don’t and discover post-graduation that your skillset has been “tailor-made” and doesn’t mesh well, generally, with the marketplace – but rather, is matched well only with one or two employers in a given region. This is a hell of a lot more common than you’d think, including among public university systems, and is NEVER, EVER disclosed up front.

College “educations” have grown in price at more than double inflation – that is, twice as fast in real costs over the last 20 years.

Why?

Because the college industry has managed to get laws passed that make their funding sources damn near immune to the problems that face most businesses when they go overboard and try to pump prices beyond value.

Specifically, your parents will be pressured to fill out and sign a “FAFSA” form, which is a federal government form that will then turn around and tell your parents what they’re “expected” to contribute to your education. (Incidentally, the point of being 18 is that you can not only give your parents the finger should you so choose, they can give you the finger. It’s called being an adult, and in the real world one does not have a right to “expect” things from one’s biological parents beyond their 18th birthday. This outright scam was promulgated by the universities themselves and written into law. Go thank your local University Provost – by spitting on his shoe. Family ties beyond 18 should be based on mutual respect, not government guns up your Mom and/or Dad’s ass. Chew on that a bit and consider how much you’d like being told to go to your room at 18… I think you’ll figure it out.)

Next, the screwniversity system managed to get written into federal law an exception to the bankruptcy laws. If you’re young, you probably don’t understand these laws, but you should. Essentially the point of bankruptcy law (which goes back to before The United States, incidentally, and is actually in the Constitution – Article 1, Section is that it serves as a check and balance on creditors loaning you money that they know you will never be able to pay back. If they do that and you go broke the bankruptcy process cleans the slate, more-or-less, and the person who loaned you that money foolishly loses – they can’t collect. Student loans are exempt from this except in certain very narrow circumstances, which means if you get in over your head that’s your problem and you can’t discharge the debt! The creditors both can and will hound you, sue you, and pursue you, adding interest and penalties to the point that it may become almost literally impossible to ever pay them off. Remember that gun thing up above again? Yes, let’s not get into a place where we might decide to use one on ourself, ok? You’re young – have a long life, not a short and tortured one.

Then there’s entitlement, and there the blame is partly those of kids who have come before you. College dorms used to be cinderblock buildings with four walls and a shared shower and toilet between two rooms, each of which held (usually) two students. No cable TV jacks, no posh condo-style “dorms”, etc. Yes, there was a pool and weight room and such – in the gym, halfway across campus. Food was, well, bad. Ask your Mom or Dad. Today’s so-called “Student Life” in these institutions is more like living in a luxury condo than a dormitory, and the price has matched it. Then there’s the other signs of opulence, including massive building programs for facilities that are, quite frankly, nice but not necessary. Who pays? You do, whether you will ever use these facilities or not.

Add all this up and you have a college environment that was basically free to hike prices willy-nilly, and still is. They did it because they could effectively gyp you and your folks into funding it; never mentioning that if you defaulted on a student loan you are absolutely and completely screwed, as unlike any other sort of debt it can’t be discharged.

This is not explained in the financial aid office, nor in admissions – if colleges were honest they wouldn’t have any dupes, er, “customers”, er, “students.”

Yeah.

So with that said, how can you fight back effectively?

Simple.

First, use the above to determine whether you should go at all. For many people the answer is “yes, but.” The “but” is this: no debt of any sort.

Now figure out how to get the education you want or need without the debt. That’s not impossible, even today.

First, consider if you are still in high school and can get enrolled in a program where you get college credit, do it. Yes, your High School year(s) will have fewer football games, fewer nights screwing your girl (or boy)friend, and fewer late night romps of various sorts. But in some places, including parts of Florida, it is possible to graduate High School with an associates degree – that is, a two-year college degree, fully paid and earned at no cost.

If you can do that you just covered half the price even if you do nothing else. Free lunches are rare and there is usually a catch – this is one of the few times you really can eat that lunch and not get a bill later.

Next up, assuming you didn’t or can’t do the above, is to do the first two years at a community college. Why? Because it’s a hell of a lot cheaper, that’s why, and most of your first two years are spent in “core” classes (that is, mostly liberal arts and general things that aren’t particularly field-specific.) They thus transfer without problems. In addition this gets you out of the trap of forced residency in a residence hall (at grossly overinflated prices) that many universities enforce for the first two years.

You might think from the above that I’m “anti-college.” You’d be wrong. A college education’s primary purpose is not, for most people, about teaching you a trade. It is, or at least should be, about learning how to think critically. This, incidentally, is what should be taught in high school too – but isn’t. Several universities have destroyed their value in this regard with hard-left liberal slants in the “soft sciences”, and indeed you will even see some academics argue that it is their job to try to “mold” your opinion. This is pure bilge, but it’s what you’re paying for in some of these schools, so do be aware of that fact - and if you detect it go somewhere else.

My argument is mostly about the fact that in virtually every case if you are unable to pay for your education either from contemporary earnings (that is, working while in school), scholarships, savings or voluntary gifts from family and relatives the taking on of debt to do so is a bad idea, and that it has been an intentional and concerted effort by universities and the minions in industries that have driven costs so high – and then tried to argue that you “should” just suck it up and deal with it.

I argue the opposite. Unless a dispassionate analysis provides an argument for some course of action, when it comes to financial matters, you shouldn’t do it – and that in virtually all cases that dispassionate argument simply has no foundation when it comes to debt and post-secondary education.

Tell the debt-cum-screwniversity industry this, lest they shove it up your backside.

I gave this link towards the article on Rolling Stones, but it has ‘mysteriously disappeared’ without a trace. They have been caught red-handed because I usually save those articles on my disk, fully aware of their tactics. So, here is a copy of the full article, with my comments in brackets. They can try to delete this post behind my back, I will repost it again and again, because I also back-up my posts.

Read the following article and learn how they couldn’t care less about human life, but only big pharma profits. FDA, CDC have been working together for a century to increase big pharma profits.

PARENTS, you MUST read this to understand what they are up to!
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. investigates the government cover-up of a mercury/autism scandal

ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. Posted Jun 20, 2005 12:00 AM

In June 2000, a group of top government scientists and health officials gathered for a meeting at the isolated Simpsonwood conference center in Norcross, Georgia. Convened by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the meeting was held at this Methodist retreat center, nestled in wooded farmland next to the Chattahoochee River, to ensure complete secrecy. The agency had issued no public announcement of the session — only private invitations to fifty-two attendees. There were high-level officials from the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration, the top vaccine specialist from the World Health Organization in Geneva and representatives of every major vaccine manufacturer, including GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Wyeth and Aventis Pasteur. All of the scientific data under discussion, CDC officials repeatedly reminded the participants, was strictly “embargoed.” There would be no making photocopies of documents, no taking papers with them when they left [that’s how those who you ‘trust’ to protect you conspire against you].

The federal officials and industry representatives had assembled to discuss a disturbing new study that raised alarming questions about the safety of a host of common childhood vaccines administered to infants and young children. According to a CDC epidemiologist named Tom Verstraeten, who had analyzed the agency’s massive database containing the medical records of 100,000 children, a mercury-based preservative in the vaccines — thimerosal — appeared to be responsible for a dramatic increase in autism and a host of other neurological disorders among children. “I was actually stunned by what I saw,” Verstraeten told those assembled at Simpsonwood, citing the staggering number of earlier studies that indicate a link between thimerosal and speech delays, attention-deficit disorder, hyperactivity and autism. Since 1991, when the CDC and the FDA had recommended that three additional vaccines laced with the preservative be given to extremely young infants — in one case, within hours of birth — the estimated number of cases of autism had increased fifteen-fold, from one in every 2,500 children to one in 166 children.

Even for scientists and doctors accustomed to confronting issues of life and death, the findings were frightening. “You can play with this all you want,” Dr. Bill Weil, a consultant for the American Academy of Pediatrics, told the group. The results “are statistically significant.” Dr. Richard Johnston, an immunologist and pediatrician from the University of Colorado whose grandson had been born early on the morning of the meeting’s first day, was even more alarmed. “My gut feeling?” he said. “Forgive this personal comment — I do not want my grandson to get a thimerosal-containing vaccine until we know better what is going on” [oh yeah, but please do not warn the other parents, they deserve to see their kid turned into a vegetable because of your actions].

But instead of taking immediate steps to alert the public and rid the vaccine supply of thimerosal, the officials and executives at Simpsonwood spent most of the next two days discussing how to cover up the damaging data. According to transcripts obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, many at the meeting were concerned about how the damaging revelations about thimerosal would affect the vaccine industry’s bottom line. “We are in a bad position from the standpoint of defending any lawsuits,” said Dr. Robert Brent, a pediatrician at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Delaware. “This will be a resource to our very busy plaintiff attorneys in this country.” Dr. Bob Chen, head of vaccine safety for the CDC, expressed relief that “given the sensitivity of the information, we have been able to keep it out of the hands of, let’s say, less responsible hands.” Dr. John Clements, vaccines advisor at the World Health Organization, declared that “perhaps this study should not have been done at all.” [this tells all you need to know about the criminality of the WHO, whose sole purpose is to expand big pharma profits and reduce the population by harming kids as much as they can]. He added that “the research results have to be handled,” [sir, research results are PUBLISHED, that’s how science moves forward, you are a criminal] warning that the study “will be taken by others and will be used in other ways beyond the control of this group.”

In fact, the government has proved to be far more adept at handling the damage than at protecting children’s health. The CDC paid the Institute of Medicine to conduct a new study to whitewash the risks of thimerosal, ordering researchers to “rule out” the chemical’s link to autism [that’s how big pharma does science these days, they order people to come up with the results they want, it has nothing to do with safey or healing people]. It withheld Verstraeten’s findings, even though they had been slated for immediate publication, and told other scientists that his original data had been “lost” and could not be replicated. And to thwart the Freedom of Information Act, it handed its giant database of vaccine records over to a private company, declaring it off-limits to researchers. By the time Verstraeten finally published his study in 2003, he had gone to work for GlaxoSmithKline and reworked his data to bury the link between thimerosal and autism.

Vaccine manufacturers had already begun to phase thimerosal out of injections given to American infants — but they continued to sell off their mercury-based supplies of vaccines until last year. The CDC and FDA gave them a hand, buying up the tainted vaccines for export to developing countries and allowing drug companies to continue using the preservative in some American vaccines — including several pediatric flu shots as well as tetanus boosters routinely given to eleven-year-olds.

The drug companies are also getting help from powerful lawmakers in Washington. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, who has received $873,000 in contributions from the pharmaceutical industry, has been working to immunize vaccine makers from liability in 4,200 lawsuits that have been filed by the parents of injured children. On five separate occasions, Frist has tried to seal all of the government’s vaccine-related documents — including the Simpsonwood transcripts — and shield Eli Lilly, the developer of thimerosal, from subpoenas. In 2002, the day after Frist quietly slipped a rider known as the “Eli Lilly Protection Act” into a homeland security bill, the company contributed $10,000 to his campaign and bought 5,000 copies of his book on bioterrorism. The measure was repealed by Congress in 2003 — but earlier this year, Frist slipped another provision into an anti-terrorism bill that would deny compensation to children suffering from vaccine-related brain disorders. “The lawsuits are of such magnitude that they could put vaccine producers out of business and limit our capacity to deal with a biological attack by terrorists,” says Dean Rosen, health policy adviser to Frist [terrorism again, the perfect excuse to do anything they want under that banner...yeah, let’s be afraid of bearded cavemen !].

Even many conservatives are shocked by the government’s effort to cover up the dangers of thimerosal. Rep. Dan Burton, a Republican from Indiana, oversaw a three-year investigation of thimerosal after his grandson was diagnosed with autism. “Thimerosal used as a preservative in vaccines is directly related to the autism epidemic,” his House Government Reform Committee concluded in its final report. “This epidemic in all probability may have been prevented or curtailed had the FDA not been asleep at the switch regarding a lack of safety data regarding injected thimerosal, a known neurotoxin.” The FDA and other public-health agencies failed to act, the committee added, out of “institutional malfeasance for self protection” and “misplaced protectionism of the pharmaceutical industry.”

The story of how government health agencies colluded with Big Pharma to hide the risks of thimerosal from the public is a chilling case study of institutional arrogance, power and greed. I was drawn into the controversy only reluctantly. As an attorney and environmentalist who has spent years working on issues of mercury toxicity, I frequently met mothers of autistic children who were absolutely convinced that their kids had been injured by vaccines. Privately, I was skeptical.

I doubted that autism could be blamed on a single source, and I certainly understood the government’s need to reassure parents that vaccinations are safe; the eradication of deadly childhood diseases depends on it. I tended to agree with skeptics like Rep. Henry Waxman, a Democrat from California, who criticized his colleagues on the House Government Reform Committee for leaping to conclusions about autism and vaccinations. “Why should we scare people about immunization,” Waxman pointed out at one hearing, “until we know the facts?”

It was only after reading the Simpsonwood transcripts, studying the leading scientific research and talking with many of the nation’s pre-eminent authorities on mercury that I became convinced that the link between thimerosal and the epidemic of childhood neurological disorders is real. Five of my own children are members of the Thimerosal Generation — those born between 1989 and 2003 — who received heavy doses of mercury from vaccines. “The elementary grades are overwhelmed with children who have symptoms of neurological or immune-system damage,” Patti White, a school nurse, told the House Government Reform Committee in 1999. “Vaccines are supposed to be making us healthier; however, in twenty-five years of nursing I have never seen so many damaged, sick kids. Something very, very wrong is happening to our children.” [that’s good for big pharma, those will be lifelong customers]

More than 500,000 kids currently suffer from autism, and pediatricians diagnose more than 40,000 new cases every year. The disease was unknown until 1943, when it was identified and diagnosed among eleven children born in the months after thimerosal was first added to baby vaccines in 1931.

Some skeptics dispute that the rise in autism is caused by thimerosal-tainted vaccinations. They argue that the increase is a result of better diagnosis — a theory that seems questionable at best, given that most of the new cases of autism are clustered within a single generation of children. “If the epidemic is truly an artifact of poor diagnosis,” scoffs Dr. Boyd Haley, one of the world’s authorities on mercury toxicity, “then where are all the twenty-year-old autistics?” Other researchers point out that Americans are exposed to a greater cumulative “load” of mercury than ever before, from contaminated fish to dental fillings, and suggest that thimerosal in vaccines may be only part of a much larger problem. It’s a concern that certainly deserves far more attention than it has received — but it overlooks the fact that the mercury concentrations in vaccines dwarf other sources of exposure to our children.

What is most striking is the lengths to which many of the leading detectives have gone to ignore — and cover up — the evidence against thimerosal. From the very beginning, the scientific case against the mercury additive has been overwhelming. The preservative, which is used to stem fungi and bacterial growth in vaccines, contains ethylmercury, a potent neurotoxin. Truckloads of studies have shown that mercury tends to accumulate in the brains of primates and other animals after they are injected with vaccines — and that the developing brains of infants are particularly susceptible. In 1977, a Russian study found that adults exposed to much lower concentrations of ethylmercury than those given to American children still suffered brain damage years later. Russia banned thimerosal from children’s vaccines twenty years ago, and Denmark, Austria, Japan, Great Britain and all the Scandinavian countries have since followed suit.

“You couldn’t even construct a study that shows thimerosal is safe,” says Haley, who heads the chemistry department at the University of Kentucky. “It’s just too darn toxic. If you inject thimerosal into an animal, its brain will sicken. If you apply it to living tissue, the cells die. If you put it in a petri dish, the culture dies. Knowing these things, it would be shocking if one could inject it into an infant without causing damage.”

Internal documents reveal that Eli Lilly, which first developed thimerosal, knew from the start that its product could cause damage — and even death — in both animals and humans. In 1930, the company tested thimerosal by administering it to twenty-two patients with terminal meningitis, all of whom died within weeks of being injected — a fact Lilly didn’t bother to report in its study declaring thimerosal safe. In 1935, researchers at another vaccine manufacturer, Pittman-Moore, warned Lilly that its claims about thimerosal’s safety “did not check with ours.” Half the dogs Pittman injected with thimerosal-based vaccines became sick, leading researchers there to declare the preservative “unsatisfactory as a serum intended for use on dogs.”

In the decades that followed, the evidence against thimerosal continued to mount. During the Second World War, when the Department of Defense used the preservative in vaccines on soldiers, it required Lilly to label it “poison.” In 1967, a study in Applied Microbiology found that thimerosal killed mice when added to injected vaccines. Four years later, Lilly’s own studies discerned that thimerosal was “toxic to tissue cells” in concentrations as low as one part per million — 100 times weaker than the concentration in a typical vaccine. Even so, the company continued to promote thimerosal as “nontoxic” and also incorporated it into topical disinfectants. In 1977, ten babies at a Toronto hospital died when an antiseptic preserved with thimerosal was dabbed onto their umbilical cords.

In 1982, the FDA proposed a ban on over-the-counter products that contained thimerosal, and in 1991 the agency considered banning it from animal vaccines. But tragically, that same year, the CDC recommended that infants be injected with a series of mercury-laced vaccines. Newborns would be vaccinated for hepatitis B within twenty-four hours of birth, and two-month-old infants would be immunized for haemophilus influenzae B and diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis.

The drug industry knew the additional vaccines posed a danger. The same year that the CDC approved the new vaccines, Dr. Maurice Hilleman, one of the fathers of Merck’s vaccine programs, warned the company that six-month-olds who were administered the shots would suffer dangerous exposure to mercury. He recommended that thimerosal be discontinued, “especially when used on infants and children,” noting that the industry knew of nontoxic alternatives. “The best way to go,” he added, “is to switch to dispensing the actual vaccines without adding preservatives.”

For Merck and other drug companies, however, the obstacle was money. Thimerosal enables the pharmaceutical industry to package vaccines in vials that contain multiple doses, which require additional protection because they are more easily contaminated by multiple needle entries. The larger vials cost half as much to produce as smaller, single-dose vials, making it cheaper for international agencies to distribute them to impoverished regions at risk of epidemics. Faced with this “cost consideration,” Merck ignored Hilleman’s warnings, and government officials continued to push more and more thimerosal-based vaccines for children. Before 1989, American preschoolers received eleven vaccinations — for polio, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis and measles-mumps-rubella. A decade later, thanks to federal recommendations, children were receiving a total of twenty-two immunizations by the time they reached first grade.

As the number of vaccines increased, the rate of autism among children exploded. During the 1990s, 40 million children were injected with thimerosal-based vaccines, receiving unprecedented levels of mercury during a period critical for brain development. Despite the well-documented dangers of thimerosal, it appears that no one bothered to add up the cumulative dose of mercury that children would receive from the mandated vaccines. “What took the FDA so long to do the calculations?” Peter Patriarca, director of viral products for the agency, asked in an e-mail to the CDC in 1999. “Why didn’t CDC and the advisory bodies do these calculations when they rapidly expanded the childhood immunization schedule?”

But by that time, the damage was done. At two months, when the infant brain is still at a critical stage of development, infants routinely received three inoculations that contained a total of 62.5 micrograms of ethylmercury — a level 99 times greater than the EPA’s limit for daily exposure to methylmercury, a related neurotoxin. Although the vaccine industry insists that ethylmercury poses little danger because it breaks down rapidly and is removed by the body, several studies — including one published in April by the National Institute of Health — suggest that ethylmercury is actually MORE toxic to developing brains and stays in the brain longer than methylmercury [in other words, they chose the most toxic of the two, and still brag about its inocuity].

Officials responsible for childhood immunizations insist that the additional vaccines were necessary to protect infants from disease and that thimerosal is still essential in developing nations, which, they often claim, cannot afford the single-dose vials that don’t require a preservative. Dr. Paul Offit, one of CDC’s top vaccine advisers, told me, “I think if we really have an influenza pandemic — and certainly we will in the next twenty years, because we always do — there’s no way on God’s earth that we immunize 280 million people with single-dose vials. There has to be multidose vials.”

But while public-health officials may have been well-intentioned, many of those on the CDC advisory committee who backed the additional vaccines had close ties to the industry. Dr. Sam Katz, the committee’s chair, was a paid consultant for most of the major vaccine makers and was part of a team that developed the measles vaccine and brought it to licensure in 1963. Dr. Neal Halsey, another committee member, worked as a researcher for the vaccine companies and received honoraria from Abbott Labs for his research on the hepatitis B vaccine.

Indeed, in the tight circle of scientists who work on vaccines, such conflicts of interest are common. Rep. Burton says that the CDC “routinely allows scientists with blatant conflicts of interest to serve on intellectual advisory committees that make recommendations on new vaccines,” even though they have “interests in the products and companies for which they are supposed to be providing unbiased oversight.” The House Government Reform Committee discovered that four of the eight CDC advisers who approved guidelines for a rotavirus vaccine “had financial ties to the pharmaceutical companies that were developing different versions of the vaccine.”

Offit, who shares a patent on one of the vaccines, acknowledged to me that he “would make money” if his vote eventually leads to a marketable product. But he dismissed my suggestion that a scientist’s direct financial stake in CDC approval might bias his judgment. “It provides no conflict for me,” he insists. “I have simply been informed by the process, not corrupted by it. When I sat around that table, my sole intent was trying to make recommendations that best benefited the children in this country. It’s offensive to say that physicians and public-health people are in the pocket of industry and thus are making decisions that they know are unsafe for children. It’s just not the way it works.”

Other vaccine scientists and regulators gave me similar assurances. Like Offit, they view themselves as enlightened guardians of children’s health, proud of their “partnerships” with pharmaceutical companies, immune to the seductions of personal profit, besieged by irrational activists whose anti-vaccine campaigns are endangering children’s health. They are often resentful of questioning. “Science,” says Offit, “is best left to scientists” [when you hide studies exposing the dangers of thimerosal, you are not a scientist anymore, but a freaking criminal who deserves life sentence. Offit goes as far as saying that vaccines are ‘so safe, that you could inject 1,000 into a kid].

Still, some government officials were alarmed by the apparent conflicts of interest [they faked to be alarmed because this has been going on for a century, and it is only getting worse]. In his e-mail to CDC administrators in 1999, Paul Patriarca of the FDA blasted federal regulators for failing to adequately scrutinize the danger posed by the added baby vaccines. “I’m not sure there will be an easy way out of the potential perception that the FDA, CDC and immunization-policy bodies may have been asleep at the switch re: thimerosal until now,” Patriarca wrote. The close ties between regulatory officials and the pharmaceutical industry, he added, “will also raise questions about various advisory bodies regarding aggressive recommendations for use” of thimerosal in child vaccines.

[what about making it unlawful to have ties to big pharma when you are in a committee for a start?]

If federal regulators and government scientists failed to grasp the potential risks of thimerosal over the years, no one could claim ignorance after the secret meeting at Simpsonwood. But rather than conduct more studies to test the link to autism and other forms of brain damage, the CDC placed politics over science [why do ‘more’ studies, only ONE study is enough when it exposes a danger]. The agency turned its database on childhood vaccines — which had been developed largely at taxpayer expense — over to a private agency, America’s Health Insurance Plans, ensuring that it could not be used for additional research [when people do things like that, it is a proof that what they are hiding is true, otherwise they wouldn’t bother - they are pure criminals]. It also instructed the Institute of Medicine, an advisory organization that is part of the National Academy of Sciences, to produce a study debunking the link between thimerosal and brain disorders. The CDC “wants us to declare, well, that these things are pretty safe” [as Offit said, it’s better to leave science to scientists ... who are paid by big pharma]. Dr. Marie McCormick, who chaired the IOM’s Immunization Safety Review Committee, told her fellow researchers when they first met in January 2001. “We are not ever going to come down that [autism] is a true side effect” of thimerosal exposure. According to transcripts of the meeting, the committee’s chief staffer, Kathleen Stratton, predicted that the IOM would conclude that the evidence was “inadequate to accept or reject a causal relation” between thimerosal and autism. That, she added, was the result “Walt wants” — a reference to Dr. Walter Orenstein, director of the National Immunization Program for the CDC.

[See, this is a GIGANTIC error of logic because ONE study proving something is harmful destroys a trillion studies who can’t put the evidence to light, but they do it all the time, and the gullible public doesn’t see the trick.]

For those who had devoted their lives to promoting vaccination, the revelations about thimerosal threatened to undermine everything they had worked for [which means they had worked towards harming people, and they wanted it to keep it like that]. “We’ve got a dragon by the tail here,” said Dr. Michael Kaback, another committee member. “The more negative that [our] presentation is, the less likely people are to use vaccination, immunization — and we know what the results of that will be. We are kind of caught in a trap. How we work our way out of the trap, I think is the charge.”

Even in public, federal officials made it clear that their primary goal in studying thimerosal was to dispel doubts about vaccines [in science, we call that ‘bias’ and unscientific because you are not trying to find the truth, just to look away from it]. “Four current studies are taking place to rule out the proposed link between autism and thimerosal,” [in other words, they make studies ‘knowing’ the results in advance, which is only possible when you have decided to lie, it’s a show] Dr. Gordon Douglas, then-director of strategic planning for vaccine research at the National Institutes of Health, assured a Princeton University gathering in May 2001. “In order to undo the harmful effects of research claiming to link the [measles] vaccine to an elevated risk of autism [you cannot ‘undo’ the fact that mercury causes autism, they are just trying to confuse people with results from studies who search where there is nothing to find], we need to conduct and publicize additional studies to assure parents of safety” [no, you don’t, the study mentioned at the beginning of this article is the ‘black swan’ of vaccination, it’s game over for vaccine defenders because the link has been exposed]. Douglas formerly served as president of vaccinations for Merck, where he ignored warnings about thimerosal’s risks.

In May of last year, the Institute of Medicine issued its final report. Its conclusion: There is no proven link between autism and thimerosal in vaccines. Rather than reviewing the large body of literature describing the toxicity of thimerosal, the report relied on four disastrously flawed epidemiological studies examining European countries, where children received much smaller doses of thimerosal than American kids [as I said, by not looking on purpose where the danger is, you won’t find it, it is utterly non scientific]. It also cited a new version of the Verstraeten study, published in the journal Pediatrics, that had been reworked to reduce the link between thimerosal and autism [this is outright criminal ... someone bring the electric chair]. The new study included children too young to have been diagnosed with autism and overlooked others who showed signs of the disease [no respect for humanity ...]. The IOM declared the case closed and — in a startling position for a scientific body — recommended that no further research be conducted.

The report may have satisfied the CDC, but it convinced no one. Rep. David Weldon, a Republican physician from Florida who serves on the House Government Reform Committee, attacked the Institute of Medicine, saying it relied on a handful of studies that were “fatally flawed” by “poor design” and failed to represent “all the available scientific and medical research.” CDC officials are not interested in an honest search for the truth, Weldon told me, because “an association between vaccines and autism would force them to admit that their policies irreparably damaged thousands of children. Who would want to make that conclusion about themselves?” [well, true scientists for a start ...]

Under pressure from Congress and parents, the Institute of Medicine convened another panel to address continuing concerns about the Vaccine Safety Datalink Data Sharing program. In February, the new panel, composed of different scientists, criticized the way the VSD had been used in the Verstraeten study, and urged the CDC to make its vaccine database available to the public.

So far, though, only two scientists have managed to gain access. Dr. Mark Geier, president of the Genetics Center of America, and his son, David, spent a year battling to obtain the medical records from the CDC. Since August 2002, when members of Congress pressured the agency to turn over the data, the Geiers have completed six studies that demonstrate a powerful correlation between thimerosal and neurological damage in children. One study, which compares the cumulative dose of mercury received by children born between 1981 and 1985 with those born between 1990 and 1996, found a “very significant relationship” between autism and vaccines. Another study of educational performance found that kids who received higher doses of thimerosal in vaccines were nearly three times as likely to be diagnosed with autism and more than three times as likely to suffer from speech disorders and mental retardation. Another soon-to-be published study shows that autism rates are in decline following the recent elimination of thimerosal from most vaccines.

As the federal government worked to prevent scientists from studying vaccines, others have stepped in to study the link to autism. In April, reporter Dan Olmsted of UPI undertook one of the more interesting studies himself. Searching for children who had not been exposed to mercury in vaccines — the kind of population that scientists typically use as a “control” in experiments — Olmsted scoured the Amish of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, who refuse to immunize their infants. Given the national rate of autism, Olmsted calculated that there should be 130 autistics among the Amish. He found only four. One had been exposed to high levels of mercury from a power plant. The other three — including one child adopted from outside the Amish community — had received their vaccines.

At the state level, many officials have also conducted in-depth reviews of thimerosal. While the Institute of Medicine was busy whitewashing the risks, the Iowa legislature was carefully combing through all of the available scientific and biological data. “After three years of review, I became convinced there was sufficient credible research to show a link between mercury and the increased incidences in autism,” says state Sen. Ken Veenstra, a Republican who oversaw the investigation. “The fact that Iowa’s 700 percent increase in autism began in the 1990s, right after more and more vaccines were added to the children’s vaccine schedules, is solid evidence alone.” Last year, Iowa became the first state to ban mercury in vaccines, followed by California. Similar bans are now under consideration in thirty-two other states.

But instead of following suit, the FDA continues to allow manufacturers to include thimerosal in scores of over-the-counter medications as well as steroids and injected collagen. Even more alarming, the government continues to ship vaccines preserved with thimerosal to developing countries — some of which are now experiencing a sudden explosion in autism rates. In China, where the disease was virtually unknown prior to the introduction of thimerosal by U.S. drug manufacturers in 1999, news reports indicate that there are now more than 1.8 million autistics. Although reliable numbers are hard to come by, autistic disorders also appear to be soaring in India, Argentina, Nicaragua and other developing countries that are now using thimerosal-laced vaccines. The World Health Organization [another criminal organization started by Rockefeller] continues to insist thimerosal is safe, but it promises to keep the possibility that it is linked to neurological disorders “under review” [yeah, and in the meantime, let’s keep using African and developing nations as lab rats and also keep their depopulation agenda on track].

I devoted time to study this issue because I believe that this is a moral crisis that must be addressed. If, as the evidence suggests, our public-health authorities knowingly allowed the pharmaceutical industry to poison an entire generation of American children, [ON PURPOSE = ELECTRIC CHAIR] their actions arguably constitute one of the biggest scandals in the annals of American medicine. “The CDC is guilty of incompetence and gross negligence,” says Mark Blaxill, vice president of Safe Minds, a nonprofit organization concerned about the role of mercury in medicines. “The damage caused by vaccine exposure is massive. It’s bigger than asbestos, bigger than tobacco, bigger than anything you’ve ever seen.”

It’s hard to calculate the damage to our country — and to the international efforts to eradicate epidemic diseases — if Third World nations come to believe that America’s most heralded foreign-aid initiative is poisoning their children. It’s not difficult to predict how this scenario will be interpreted by America’s enemies abroad. The scientists and researchers — many of them sincere, even idealistic — who are participating in efforts to hide the science on thimerosal claim that they are trying to advance the lofty goal of protecting children in developing nations from disease pandemics [who wants a protection like that]. They are badly misguided. Their failure to come clean on thimerosal will come back horribly to haunt our country and the world’s poorest populations.

NOTE: This story has been updated to correct several inaccuracies in the original, published version. As originally reported, American preschoolers received only three vaccinations before 1989, but the article failed to note that they were innoculated a total of eleven times with those vaccines, including boosters. The article also mis-stated the level of ethylmercury received by infants injected with all their shots by the age of six months. It was 187 micrograms – an amount forty percent, not 187 times, greater than the EPA’s limit for daily exposure to methylmercury [oh yeah, I am feeling better for those kids now, because you know you can trust that daily exposure limit after all we have seen, you can be confident it has been developed with the kids interest in mind]. Finally, because of an editing error, the article mis-stated the contents of the rotavirus vaccine approved by the CDC. It did not contain thimerosal. Salon and Rolling Stone regret the errors.

[you can feel the hand here of big pharma criminal lawyers who would protect any misdemeanor and crime to make money - shame on them - they are probably responsible for the disappearance of this article from the website]

An earlier version of this story stated that the Institute of Medicine convened a second panel to review the work of the Immunization Safety Review Committee that had found no evidence of a link between thimerosal and autism. In fact, the IOM convened the second panel to address continuing concerns about the Vaccine Safety Datalink Data Sharing program, including those raised by critics of the IOM’s earlier work. But the panel was not charged with reviewing the committee’s findings. The story also inadvertently omitted a word and transposed two sentences in a quote by Dr. John Clements, and incorrectly stated that Dr. Sam Katz held a patent with Merck on the measles vaccine. In fact, Dr. Katz was part of a team that developed the vaccine and brought it to licensure, but he never held the patent. Salon and Rolling Stone regret the errors.

CLARIFICATION: After publication of this story, Salon and Rolling Stone corrected an error that mis-stated the level of ethylmercury received by infants injected with all their shots by the age of six months. It was 187 micrograms, an amount forty percent, not 187 times, greater than the EPA’s limit for daily exposure to methylmercury. At the time of the correction, we were aware that the comparison itself was flawed, but as journalists we considered it more appropriate to state the correct figure rather than replace it with another number entirely.

Since that earlier correction, however, it has become clear from responses to the article that the forty-percent number, while accurate, is misleading. It measures the total mercury load an infant received from vaccines during the first six months, calculates the daily average received based on average body weight, and then compares that number to the EPA daily limit. But infants did not receive the vaccines as a ?daily average? ? they received massive doses on a single day, through multiple shots. As the story states, these single-day doses exceeded the EPA limit by as much as 99 times. Based on the misunderstanding, and to avoid further confusion, we have amended the story to eliminate the forty-percent figure.

Correction: The story misattributed a quote to Andy Olson, former legislative counsel to Senator Bill Frist. The comment was made by Dean Rosen, health policy adviser to the senator. Rolling Stone and Salon.com regret the error.

Hundreds of manufacturers have KNOWINGLY built thousands of products with faulty capacitors, instead of replacing them. They WILL blow up, and customers will pay, businesses will suffer.

I copy here an entire article from the excellent Market Ticker site because it is a general problem, lurking in all recent electronic products.

As typically these days, manufacturers let faulty products out, knowing they will blow up and they will make money out of it, instead of replacing the faulty capacitors, which would harm their profits. This goes back as far as to 2003 !

This problem can obviously have great consequences for companies who rely on their computers … ie almost all of them !The story referenced here is company-specific (DELL) but the problem is not, so I refuse to ascribe this simply to DELL….. even though that would be convenient. (see Capacitor Plague on Wikipedia)

Documents recently unsealed in a three-year-old lawsuit against Dell show that the company’s employees were actually aware that the computers were likely to break. Still, the employees tried to play down the problem to customers and allowed customers to rely on trouble-prone machines, putting their businesses at risk. Even the firm defending Dell in the lawsuit was affected when Dell balked at fixing 1,000 suspect computers, according to e-mail messages revealed in the dispute.

….

The problems affecting the Dell computers stemmed from an industrywide encounter with bad capacitors produced by Asian PC component suppliers. Capacitors are found on computer motherboards, playing a crucial role in the flow of current across the hardware. They are not meant to pop and leak fluid, but that is exactly what was happening earlier this decade, causing computers made by Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Apple and others to break.

Actually, capacitors are found in every piece of electronic equipment. They are necessary components in the power supply section of every item that contains some form of electronics, from TVs to video monitors to microwave ovens to radios, cell phones, computers and modern clock-radios.

The problem is not gone either. Here’s a “wall wart” for a device that just failed on me. The device is fine. The power supply? Not.

Those two capacitors in the corner haven’t exploded – yet – but they’ve got bulged tops. They went out-of-tolerance enough to cause the power supply to self-destruct.

This is a power supply for a simple consumer product – a “wall wart” that you probably have a few of around your home.

These failures can cause fires, although that’s not common.

But in every case they result in a non-functional device, and virtually all of the devices with these defective capacitors in them will fail.

These manufacturers are producing and have been selling known defective products. Hundreds of manufacturers. Thousands of distinct products. Were they to recall and replace them all, virtually every major electronics manufacturer and computer maker would be bankrupted immediately.

Therefore, you the consumer get screwed. You are led to believe that your DVD player, TV, radio, cell phone or other consumer electronics device, when it fails out of warranty, is “just old.”

It is not “just old.”

It was produced with defective components and the companies that did so and sold it to you are well aware of it at this point.

They’re also well-aware that recalling and replacing all those defective units means they’re out of business, so instead of doing the right thing, you, the consumer, get screwed.

I wrote about this in context of a coupe of computer monitors a few months ago. Among other items, I’ve had two video cards, two video monitors, and now this “wall wart” all fall victim to the same failure. I know how to fix these things, but most people do not.

These are not accidents or “ordinary wear and tear” failures.

You are being screwed, America, by manufacturers who produced products with defective components that are necessary for both the function and safety of the devices you’re using.

These components will fail, your consumer electronics will stop working long before they should.

This is not about warranties. These capacitors are not merchantable. They are unfit for any purpose, as they are known to be defective and as such it is known that they will fail, destroying your device.

It is as if these products have a built-in time bomb ala “Mission Impossible“, that just happens to go off shortly after your warranty expires.

That may be a lovely way to try to force you to buy a new cell phone, a new DVD player, a new stereo, a new TV or a new microwave oven.

But when these components are known to be bad, the manufacturers of the products know they’re in the devices and they fail to recall them I believe there is a cogent argument that these latent and known defects constitute fraudulent conduct, as the manufacturers are not disclosing that these devices have an effective “automatic termination” device built into them and WILL fail at some point out of warranty far before their claimed “design life.”

Selling people known-defective products and hiding it is supposed to be against the law. You’re taking money from people for something you know is a piece of junk but you’re representing it as a “good” product.

Again: Where are the cops?

Will you be surprised if I tell you that there is a perfect solution to remove the oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico and that it is totally ignored.

Will you be surprised if I tell you that there is a perfect solution to remove the oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico and that it is totally ignored ?

It is a powder that binds with anything made from oil (oil, benzene, etc) and turns it into a solid mud that you can easily collect and leaves the water clean.

Instead, they chose Corexit, the MOST toxic product possible, that works far worse than anything else, and that drags the oil to the bottom of the ocean.

If that is not done on purpose, they have discovered new depths into human stupidity.

If you don’t believe me, watch this video :

Dr Mike Castle has developed a polymer than can safely congeal the oil out of the water so it can be rescued and still used as fuel, which is totally nontoxic and totally safe.

As usual, this type of solution is not even considered. After a series of frustrating encounters with the us government and military/bureaucracies, Dr Castle had no choice but to set the formula for this amazing product aside. You won’t be surprised that he went out of business, which is again typical when one sells something that is really effective.

But now, he is seeking $2 million in funding so he can take a team of Marines down to Louisiana and set up shop to produce the polymer and begin cleanup operations.

The government, as usual, is covering it up, giving false estimates and asking the ones responsible for the catastrophe to clean it.

The White House allowed BP to keep a video of gushing pipe from the public for 3 weeks – see link.

Admiral Thad W. Allen, the commandant of the Coast Guard,t he same guy who oversaw the brilliant government response to Katrina is overseeing its response to the Gulf oil spill … we can only expect a brilliant solution to the problem right ?

And what have they done after a month, well, pretty much nothing, they do not even tell the fishermen to stay away from the toxic vapor. Exactly what they did with firemen during 911, they knew the Twin Towers were full of asbestos, and yet they told them it was perfectly safe and they did not need a gas mask.

Benzene, incredible amounts of Benzene are being released into the atmosphere and is a clear and present danger not only for the old and people with respiratory problems but the general Gulf population as a whole.

If no one does nothing, they will continue to spill extremely toxic chemicals.

Why ? Well, they buy it from their buddies with whom they usually do business with.

What is BP doing now ? They are using a chemical Corexit, that is 25 times more toxic than the others, but also the least efficient.

Corexit simply breaks up oil into tiny drops, which then sink underwater. In other words, the oil sinks, but it does not go away.

It’s a cosmetic solution with far reaching consequences for humans and sea life, but they don’t care about that.

You see, BP is responsible for the catastrophe, they simply tried to save 500,00 $ by not using a security valve that they is compulsory in other countries.

The latest news from the Gulf of Mexico Oil Disaster indicates that BP will be able to take only a little over 20% of the gushing oil via the pipe inserted into the broken pipe on the seabed. The latest figures indicate that 3.4 million gallons per day of crude oil are gushing into the Gulf. If you assume a 23% reduction in that flow, you still have over 2.6 million gallons of crude oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico every day. And, as I explained, the 20% that they supposedly cleaned has just been dispersed on the sea bed. Brilliant isn’t it ?

Dr Castle can be contacted at amerihaz@gmail.com.

This is not even my country, but I care, so I hope the majority of americans who read this will react and do something.

To the very least, send this email to ALL your contacts, we may find people who care enough and enough money to stop this insanity.

Some negative zones on Earth (aka Geopathic) are known stressors to the human body. Geopathic stress is real, it has been measured, and it affects you 24x7 ! But there is a SOLUTION !

Tired all the time because you can’t sleep well ? Can’t heal completely no matter how many drugs you take ? Have you heard of Geopathic stress ?. If you don’t know what harms you, how can you get better ?

A recent study proves the reality of geopathic stress by measuring it with electronic equipment. Geopathic Stress is a natural radiation that rises up through the earth and is distorted by weak electro-magnetic fields created by subterranean running water, certain mineral concentrations, fault lines and underground cavities. The wavelengths of the natural radiation disturbed in this way make geopathic stress harmful to living organisms.

Until recently, only dowsing could detect the location of those geopathic zones because those phenomena are unknown and ridiculed by scientists who disregard anything they can’t explain.

However, open minded scientists exists and measured the effect of geopathic zones using electronic instruments.

In the above mentioned study, indian scientists have measured the current received by a photodiode from a laser placed at the other side of the measurement setup. The purpose was to have the photons of the beam cross the geopathic stress zone, and ‘interfere’ with its energy field.

See the study for more details.

This means that the Geopathic Zone has a specific type of energy, whatever it is, capable of interfering with photons.

In other words, GEOPATHIC STRESS IS REAL !

Science only begins to understand the phenomenon of Geopathic stress, but it is proven that it is real, measurable.

The Geowave, an easy solution to Geopathic Stress

A practical and efficient solution to Geopathic Stress is to hang a Geowave in the Attic to protect the whole house.

Remember, Geopathic Stress is a permanent source of stress and contributes to many medical problems, including sleeplessness, fatigue and slow healing.

It looks weird at first, but the testimonials and the studies have convinced me… I want one !

Yes, the science behind vaccine is 'solid' as they proudly say, but, unfortunately, science solidly says vaccine offer NO protection. Bygones, don't fall into that scam.

When vaccine advocates say that ‘the science behind vaccine is solid and the discussion is over’, they are right actually, there’s only a little problem for them, it’s that solid science tells vaccines are useless, as in ‘ZERO protection’.
A new Canadian-led study concludes that immunizing nursing-home workers does nothing to cut the number of confirmed influenza cases among the homes’ elderly residents.

Lead research Dr Roger Thomas said :
“What troubled us is that [shots] had no effect on laboratory-confirmed influenza.
What we were looking for is proof that influenza … is decreased. Didn’t find it.

We looked for proof that pneumonia is reduced. Didn’t find it.
We looked for proof deaths from pneumonia are reduced. Didn’t find it.”

Coming at the end of the largest flu-vaccination campaign in Canadian history, the review of previous studies calls for stepped-up research into alternative, lower-tech ways to combat the virus, such as improved hand washing.

Congratulations ! After two centuries of medical science, they went from useless vaccination to hand washing !
There is progress here !

Here are several examples showing that flu vaccines do not work for ANY age group:

- A study published in the October 2008 issue of the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine found that vaccinating young children against the flu had no impact on flu-related hospitalizations or doctor visits during two recent flu seasons. The researchers concluded that “significant influenza vaccine effectiveness could not be demonstrated for any season, age, or setting” examined.

- A 2008 study published in the Lancet found that influenza vaccination was NOT associated with a reduced risk of pneumonia in older people. This also supports an earlier study, published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

- Research published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine also confirms that there has been no decrease in deaths from influenza and pneumonia in the elderly, despite the fact that vaccination coverage among the elderly has increased from 15 percent in 1980 to 65 percent now.

- In 2007, researchers with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the National Institutes of Health published this conclusion in the Lancet Infectious Diseases:

“We conclude that frailty selection bias and use of non-specific endpoints such as all-cause mortality (ie pure data manipulation !!!), have led cohort studies to greatly exaggerate vaccine benefits.”

- A large-scale, systematic review of 51 studies, published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews in 2006, found no evidence that the flu vaccine is any more effective than a placebo in children. The studies involved 260,000 children, age 6 to 23 months.

Folks, this is why the medical studies against placebo use a toxic mixture instead of a true placebo, they must make vaccines look good otherwise their uselessness would be demonstrated every single time !

But … but … wait a minute, if a vaccine can’t protect anybody from something as mild as a flu, how can it protect against more severe diseases, polio, even AIDS … ??? Well, they can’t of course, don’t be gullible !

The following is very important to understand : the only conclusion, when something has zero effectiveness, is that the only effects are the side effects, right ? The side effects become the prime and sole effects ! So, we can relabel vaccines as pure poison. That’s what they are, that’s what they are designed to be.

Keep in mind that, next winter, they may try again to scare you with a H23N67 virus and try to rush you and your family into another vaccine. It will still be the flu, and the articles above show flu vaccination is a scam.

DISCLAIMER : I must unfortunately tell you that, thanks to FDA and big pharma trying to silence everything that is not chemical, everything that I write must be taken solely as a source of information, it is never intended as a diagnostic tool, or a recommendation. Discuss health related decisions with your doctor.

Just like unemployment figures misrepresenting the number of jobless people by 50%, the FED money supply figures do not reflect the actual money supply by a long shot. Are they stupid or do they do it on purpose ?

Just like unemployment figures misrepresenting the number of jobless people by 50%, the FED money supply figures do not reflect the actual money supply by a long shot. Are they stupid or do they do it on purpose ? Let me guess: can really hundreds of people be all stupid ? For once, I will copy/paste an article from another source (Agora Daily Reckoning) because it explains in great detail how the FED lies about pretty much everything, and especially about the true amount of money ‘out there’.

This will impact everybody, and, as always, it’s done on purpose, and it’s not for the benefits of consumers.
Remember, the FED and the US gov purposely LIE about unemployment, stock/manufacturing/sales indexes, green shoots, recovery etc

Look at the shape of the curves below and you will understand why they don’t want you to know.
If everybody understood them, it would start a revolution instantly.

So, here it is …

When Money Supplies Go Wild!
By James Turk

The US money supply is much bigger than the official numbers
indicate…$1.25 trillion bigger, to be exact. If you care
about the value of the dollars in your pocket, this information should
matter greatly to you.

As the financial crisis has unfolded over the last two years, the
Federal Reserve has been responding in a variety of unprecedented ways.
Therefore, it is logical to assume that these never-before-used actions
have altered long-established ways of measuring the US dollar money
supply.

The quantity of dollars in circulation is being underreported
by relying upon the traditional and now outdated definitions
used to calculate M1 and M2. These ‘Ms’ are calculated and
reported by the Federal Reserve based on the following guidelines that
identify the several different forms of dollar currency used in
commerce:

M1: The sum of currency held outside the vaults of depository
institutions, Federal Reserve Banks, and the US Treasury; travelers
checks; and demand and other checkable deposits issued by financial
institutions (except demand deposits due to the Treasury and depository
institutions), minus cash items in process of collection and Federal
Reserve float.

M2: M1 plus savings deposits (including money market deposit accounts)
and small-denomination (less than $100,000) time deposits issued by
financial institutions; and shares in retail money market mutual funds
(funds with initial investments of less than $50,000), net of
retirement accounts.
These esoteric definitions can be confusing, so let’s bring US dollar
currency back to basics as the first step to explaining why these
definitions are no longer adequate.

There are two types of dollar currency comprising the money supply -
cash currency and deposit currency. Both are used in commerce to make
payments.

1) Cash Currency

The cash currency we carry around in our pockets is issued by the
Federal Reserve. Take a look at one of those green pieces of paper, and
you will see that they are labeled as a “Federal Reserve Note”. A note
is a debt obligation, and a few decades ago one could take that note to
a Federal Reserve Bank and ask them to make good on their debt by
redeeming it for silver, or until 1933, gold.

These liabilities of the Federal Reserve are no longer redeemable into
anything, and are therefore “IOU nothing” currency, a phrase made
famous by legendary advocate of sound money, John Exter. Nevertheless,
Federal Reserve notes remain a liability of the Federal Reserve.

2) Deposit Currency

Deposit currency is comprised – as its name implies – of dollars on
deposit in the banking system. These dollars circulate as currency when
payments in commerce are made with checks, wire transfers, plastic
cards and the like. In contrast to cash currency which circulates from
hand-to-hand, deposit currency circulates from bank account to bank
account.

Bank deposits take three standard forms – checking accounts, savings
accounts and time deposits. They have different maturities, or tenor,
to use a banking term.

Dollars in checking accounts are considered to be the most liquid
because they are available on demand. Therefore, they are part of M1
because they are the most likely deposit currency to be used to make a
payment in commerce. Dollars in savings accounts are less likely to be
used to make a payment, but nonetheless are currency because they are
spendable. So they are part of M2, which comprises those dollars less
frequently used as currency.

The dollars in time deposits are used even less, but are currency and
therefore available for use in commerce when they mature, or
immediately if the tenor of the deposit is broken. They are – depending
on the size of the deposit – included in M2 or M3, which is no longer
disclosed by the Federal Reserve.

Having provided this background information, we can now get to the
heart of the matter by looking at how currency is created ‘out of thin
air’ by the Federal Reserve and banks and the impact of their actions
on the monetary balance sheet of the US dollar.

Cash currency of course is simply printed, but every note issued is
recorded on the Federal Reserve’s balance sheet. Basically, the Fed
‘monetizes’ an asset by turning it into currency.

If, for example, a bank sells a $1 million T-bill to the Fed, the Fed
‘pays’ for it with $1 million of newly printed cash currency. The Fed
records the T-bill as an asset and the cash currency it issued as its
liability. These Federal Reserve Notes are the “currency” component in
the definition of M1 above.

In the past, the Federal Reserve only created cash currency. However,
as the credit crisis erupted two years ago, the Fed began the
unprecedented process of creating vast amounts of deposit currency. So
instead of purchasing paper from the banking system solely with cash
currency, the Federal Reserve since the start of the financial crisis
has increasingly relied upon deposit currency to purchase paper.

Regardless how the Federal Reserve pays for the paper it purchases -
cash currency or deposit currency – it is creating dollar currency and
perforce expanding the money supply. But the traditional definition of
M1 does not accurately capture this process when the Fed uses deposit
currency to pay for its purchase. In fact, it is totally excluded.
Because the Federal Reserve did not create deposit currency in the
past, none of the Ms take it into account.

Consequently, the traditional definitions of the Ms are outdated
because they do not capture the total quantity of dollars in
circulation. Because M1 is underreported, so too is M2.

There has been an unprecedented amount of deposit currency created by
the Fed over the past two years. The following chart illustrates this
point. It shows the quantity of demand and checkable deposits, i.e.,
the amount of deposit currency, at the Federal Reserve since December
2002.

From December 2002 until the collapse of Lehman Brothers in September
2008, the quantity of deposit currency created by the Fed averaged
$11.8 billion, an amount that is relatively insignificant compared to
total M1. Presently, it stands at a record high of $1,246.2 billion,
which of course is highly significant.

More to the point, none of this deposit currency is captured in the
traditional definition of the Ms. The quantity of dollar currency is
therefore significantly underreported, which is illustrated by the
following chart.

The Federal Reserve reports M1 to be $1,716 billion as of February
15th. When deposit currency created by the Federal Reserve is added to
the traditional definition of M1, M1 after adjustment is actually 170%
higher at $2,918 billion. Its annual growth increases to
29.5%, nearly 3-times the rate reported by the Fed and more
importantly, is an annual rate of growth in the quantity of dollar
currency that is approaching
hyperinflationary levels.

The US dollar is being inflated and worryingly, the rate of
new currency creation is approaching hyperinflationary levels. Unless
the Federal Reserve changes course, the US is headed for a deposit
currency hyperinflation like those that plagued much of Latin America
in the 1980s and 1990s.
